Quick update before I get some work done.

I did get that job I was interviewing for!!! Long story but I got it, then I didn't, but then I did! Lots of waiting and frustration. Been in school almost 3 weeks now. Trying to get caught up with all this stuff I missed since I was a late hire. Which has made it stressful and busy. But it is only a year position....it's a year that I didn't have with a position that will look good on my resume. I hope it leads to another job at the school.

My friend and I went on something called Letterboxing last week. It is like geocaching but you follow clues to these home-made stamps. You leave your stamp in a notebook and place their stamp in your notebook. You put everything back and go to the next one. It is amazing where these things are hidden! Right in the middle of everything!

Supernatural on Thursday! Wahoo! I am pumped! The gag reel on the DVD is hilarious!!!

Ok, so I am WAAAAYYYYY behind in my movies. My sister and I FINALLY got around to renting Friday the 13th and My Bloody Valentine. Saw FT13 on Friday (haha) and MBV on Saturday.

I have never seen any of the Jason movies so I was new coming into it and had nothing to compare it to. Overall I did not like it. Too slow, too perdictible, too much language, sex, drugs, and alcohol (I sound like a grandma). I just thought it took away from liking the characters and the "story-line." I did think Jared did great in his role but didn't like too much else.

MBV I was not able to see it in 3D as the rental box had no glasses with it. Eventhough there was nothing popping out at me, I still enjoyed it. I thought there was a story line and the characters were relateable. I also loved the twist! Was not expecting that!

Glad I am catching up on my movies. Now to get to the theater to see Transformers!!

Sitting here printing a bunch of resumes for the Teacher's Fair I am attending next Saturday. I am nervous. I think main reason is my old school district is going to be there. Now it comes down to getting what I need to get done and avoiding them. I really don't want to see them and I don't want them to see me. Such a sad time when you thought teaching was a safe field to get into. WRONG!

My bf FINALLY got a job! It is only seasonal but it is something. His first step to living in the real world (oh long story with him working for his mom....don't get me started!) Cool thing is it is something we both enjoy and he will be working with a friend of ours.

Snowed last night. Haven't seen that in a while and it really came down! Roads got icy pretty fast. Fun when I was out at 10 p.m. for a soccer game.

Trying to do my taxes as well. Fun times it is over here. We just got it back! And who's idea was it to bring back Reaper? Man that makes me mad!!!

Going to start looking for a teaching job back in the districts again. Sad with the economy. They say education is a field that is hiring...reason is they are laying off a lot of the teachers they have now and hiring people from the corporate world!! UH! My friend found out she is losing her teaching job this year. Nothing is safe.

Saw Twilight for the second time last night. Went to the dollar movies. It was pretty crowded. Interesting seeing it after reading the book and reading the 2 other books after it. We shall see what the second movie looks like.

X-mas and a ?

First off: Christmas-
It was pretty good overall. Weather was nice (no white x-mas), family came by, and I got some good gifts. Family got a Wii system (that was fun playing together), I got Dark Knight, and some money. My sister's gift made me laugh! She bought a blue/black heart shaped pillow and sewed on a pic of Jensen in the middle! She put it on an iron on. Too funny! I will try to take a pic of it. The other side is just the pillow so she said when my bf comes over I can flip it around so he doesn't see Jensen...LOL! But I will always be able to sleep with him....

Now for the question....maybe I am over reacting but I would like opinions!

My bf and I celebrated (sorta) our 1 year anniversary on the 18th (well, I worked until 9 pm that night). He was making a big deal about X-mas this year how it would be our first one together since he was out of town last year. He came over on X-mas Eve...and I have not seen him since. I knew X-mas he was going to be with his family. I could not join them because they have real x-mas trees and I am allergic, which he knows. He was going to stop by my house later. I get a call from him saying they were still at his families house and did not know when they would be leaving (he couldn't leave because he has no car) and he might not be able to come over. Ok...whatever. He calls me around 8:30 and says he was not coming over. He was going to stay home. Now, should I get mad over that? I think what I am most disappointed about is he made such a big deal about our first x-mas and I did not see him!!!! I don't think he realized how I feel. I have not told him either. He called me today asked how my day was and that's it. I might not be able to see him until Sunday either. His presents are still sitting under my tree.... thing too is next year he might be out of town and so might I. Our first x-mas together might not be for a couple more years.....hmmmm

Did everyone survive it? Did you go out into the madness? What did you get?

We usually skip it or go out later in the day. But this year we spotted a few things.

My mom and I got up at 4 am (uh!) and headed to Sam's Club. They had advertised a Wii bundle with extra controllers, nunchucks, and 2 games. All for about $150 cheaper than if you were to buy them separately. So, we got there and they were letting us stand inside the store (weather wasn't too cold). They gave us a ticket for the bundle so we were excited. They let us in at 5am and we had to pay for it first. So, we did and I walked around the store with the while we got some food for the house. That is my sister and I's gift. Cool we got it. I didn't think we would.

Throughout the day we went to Sears, JCPenny, Kohls, Borders, and Michaels. Kohls was CRAZY! Stood in the checkout line for 30 minutes and this was around 10am.

But X-mas shopping is underway. Now to figure out what to get the familia. :D

I have been looking for a 2nd job for a couple of months now. I really like my job where I am at but the salary sucks for what I want to do in the near future. You know, like buying a house, etc.

So, I have been looking at tutoring positions. Applied for this company, met them, went to orientation and thought it was really cool. Turns out it was too far North and I would be spending too much time driving than anything. Pay was about double what I am making now. So, I found a job posted on Craigslist. Applied Saturday. Got a call on Monday. Interviewed Tuesday and was hired yesterday. Yikes!

My boss at my job now was not too happy. I think she is afraid she will lose me so she was kinda nicely saying I could not take the job. Talked to her today and she is going to try to work a schedule out so I can do that job. I think she was just freaked. So, I will be making more than double my hourly salary now. Granted I will only be working a few hours a week....but still!

Yay! I was kinda grumpy that weekend so I didn't feel like celebrating anything. I did get the SPN DVDs and the Bone Key book from my parents and sister.

Weather is changing and that means I will spend now through April cold! I hate being cold blooded!

Going to the Santana concert tonight with my bf, our friends, and his nephew. I think I will enjoy it. I like Santana but he is not my first choice for music. I just hope I don't freeze because then it won't be fun.

Here is a pic of me and my cousins from my sister's last show. I didn't want any pics taken so I was forced into this one....

I never post pics so I thought I would change it up a bit.

Haven't updated in awhile so thought I would for those who do read this....

I am done with my weekend job. That was interesting. I worked my last weekend but decided to keep my key in case they needed me for anything else. I get a call in the middle of the week from my boss there asking for my help. Now, he never calls anyone and I didn't think he knew my name! I said I could help train a new girl part of that coming Sunday. He asked if I knew payroll and I said no. Now, I get in there and the girl said I am supposed to train her on something I don't know about. She is the weekday girl and they wanted me to train her on payroll. I never had to do that on the weekends and I told them that! Neither one of us could get ahold of the boss's so I finally called the former weekday receptionist. She was nice enough to come in and train. She left a nice little message on the boss's phone about him wasting my time beind there. I ended up staying and working the rest of the day. OH and I find out from the other receptionist that I couldn't get my last pay check until I turned in my key. They never told me that! I left the key and asked for my pay check. Got it the other day and today got a $25 gift card for PF Chang's. Nice surprise.

Went in Wednesday for my clogged oil gland on my eye again. The Dr. wanted to cut it to drain it but she couldn't see a good spot because it was too swollen. So, she gave me the shots in my eyelids again! OUCH! This time she did the inside and the outside. I have a nice bump that is orange/white from the place she inserted the needle and a bruise on my bottom eyelid! Looks like I got in a fight! Sucky!

Had orientation today for a 2nd job I am taking up. It's tutoring. We are basically freelance contract workers but get paid really well. I am excited!

Labor day is Monday. Only have plans to meet with a teacher from my former district. She is only in her 2nd year and hates it there. Nect weekend I meet with another teacher from there.

Tuesday SPN is released to DVD. Say it with me.....YAY!!!

So, was finally sleeping last night. Nice and sound....when at 2:30 exactly, the doorbell rings! I start freaking out. Last time we had such an early morning wake-up it was a notification that my cousin had died. All that early morning stuff with the door and phone calls freak me out. I really started thinking about my sister.... anyways....

3 of us go running downstairs. We get there, and no one is at the door! We sit and watch outside for awhile. Nothing. We go to the back and see a bright light on the block behind us in the corner. I go running upstairs but can't see anything. 2 go outside to check the cars...make sure nothing has happened. I look out my bedroom side window and see 2 cop cars sitting on the street, only parking lights on talking. Someone must have called them.

Probably some stupid kid doing Door Bell Ditching in the middle of the night! I worry because we have a lot of retired folk in the neighborhood. Don't want them having any heart attacks! If it happens again, I will see if a pattern emerges. If so, I will sit out there, tie some fishing string to the tree and pull it when that punk goes running across the yard! Tie him up in it and hand him over to the cops!

*stomps off*

So yesterday about 7am I was laying in bed thinking about how I have to get up for work when I had this pain in my side/back. I thought "uh oh, please don't let it be what it feels like." So, I got up and it hit me.... intense pain on my left back all the way to my front...KIDNEY STONES! Crap!

I had them 4 years ago and was in the hospital for the pain. This time I didn't want to go in. I started drinking water and was just pacing. It is so hard to get comfortable. I turned really pale and then began throwing up from the pain. Sucky thing is you need liquids to try to flush it out but it is hard when you can't keep any down! After I would throw up it was like the pain stopped. If I felt pain I knew I would throw up. So, I went through time when I had no pain. About 10:15 it got really bad. I gave in and my mom decided to call my Dr. Luckily she works in the Urgent Care in the same building so we were going there. I threw up one last time (lovely huh?) got in the car and left. I got to the parking lot and felt fine. I sat there for awhile and then told my mom to just go home because I felt fine. Got home, kept drinking liquids and was able to keep them down so I ate and kept that down.

Sitting here at work and am pretty much fine. Still drinking a ton (why don't they make smaller port-o-potties?!) and little pain. Very odd. Sucks though.

Got through the afternoon watching Third Watch and Supernatural. hehe

Happy belated 4th of July! How was everyone's day?
We had a bar-b-q with my grandfather. That evening I went to my boyfriends and we went to his brothers. They had fireworks and we were able to see a couple of the big shows in the surrounding neighborhoods from where we were. Was in the 90s during the day but it made it nice in the evening.

At my weekend job (boo!). Only 2 more weekends after this. Making the same amount that I started making over 5 years ago isn't worth it now. But I am leaving at 12:30 tomorrow to go to the baseball game! My aunt got tickets 5 rows behind the visitors dugout from her boss so I am going! Will be on tv too when they show the batters. All you CO people I will wave to you!

My bf got a new kitten and I was playing with it last night. His niece named him Squeaky Bear. He is a long hair gray cat. He is about 9 weeks. So cute! So playful too! He was running and about a foot away from me decided to jump and stick to me! He landed about where my shoulder is. Was so funny! I have a picture on my phone of him, will try to upload it soon.

Last night was awesome!!! Yes, I have seen Sevendust before in concert but it is such a different experience when you are with a band that is playing that night!

We got there about 5 (doors were at 7). The tech and sound guys were still setting up so we waited and put together my sister's drum set. While waiting we had Clint, Vinny, John, and LJ come up to us at different times to say hi and thank the girls for coming out. They just said thank you to them for letting them play! LJ ended up coming over to me, gave me a big hug and recognized me. He called me beautiful and I told him to stop it. lol. He said if we needed anything to just ask.

Got to sit through their sound check and that was entertaining. Mini concert but also they were messing around with stuff so it was a lot of fun. No pictures of that because the camera was packed with the merch :(
After sound check my sister's band was rushed through theirs because they were running behind. The girls went on around 7:30 and got a great response from the crowd. Better than the other opening band. I packed up the merch and headed out there to watch Sevendust. Great show!

After we went to the parking lot with the gear and just waited. We let the other fans get to the guys first. All guys said bye before they took off. We were able to talk to Morgan for about 45 minutes. He was saying the girls did great. Guess all the guys were watching them when they were playing and were blown away by their performance. Bus call was at 1 but they left about 1:45. Great night and it was fun hanging out with everyone.
Now for some pics!
